From an elevated tee box, it is difficult to "pull the trigger" on the tee shot. Why? You will be hitting to a sloping and tiered fairway (hazard left) that rises and works left to an elevated putting surface. Once in play, the fun begins. Usually into the wind, your approach will probably be from an uneven lie to a "blind" green that slopes from back to front. The tendency is to take too much club because the approach is uphill to a target you cannot see. The result is usually a pitch or chip shot from behind the green to a very fast, and tricky, putting surface. Words of advice….take a ride up the hill, see the flag, pick some sort of landmark to get your bearing, take the club that equals the distance and trust your golf swing. It is as easy as that!!!
