| Very much a risk versus reward hole. This slight dogleg right hole challenges you to pull out the driver and go for the green. Usually with a prevailing wind slightly at your back and left to right, this option, at times is very desirable. However, hit your tee shot out of the fairway and you will pay the price. The pro's suggestion is to use a mid to low iron, or even a fairway wood, to a position that allows you to approach a very shallow green with a short, lofted iron. A "bump and run" approach, staying clear of a deep bunker guarding the left side of the green and avoiding the treacherous situation of going long over the green is desired. The green seems relatively flat, but subtle breaks are everywhere on this putting surface. |
